According to a recent survey published in the October issue of Annals of Allergy, Asthma & Immunology, about 25% of children are bullied, teased, or harassed because of a food allergy.  When children under five were excluded from the results, the figure rose to 35 percent, and among students in grades six through 10 it was as high as 50 percent.
