... our local foodbank.

We work with our local foodbank as volunteers on a pretty regular basis.  Much of what they do is 'repacking' of bulk staples, which means it is fine for DD to be helping, since those things are mostly single ingredients (beans, rice, oatmeal, etc.) and come from local sources where contamination isn't such a concern.

ANYway.

They label EVERYTHING.  This is to their credit to start with, I think.

They also provide full advisory info on those labels.

For example, we helped to bag a thousand pounds of Irish soda bread mix this week into individual bags.  I had DD check the label, which CLEARLY noted...

produced in a facility which also produces products containing treenuts, eggs, milk, and soy.  <swoon>

(And no, the TN warning meant that we had DD doing the boxing and labeling, not handling the material itself.)

The part that I'm so amazed and touched and just-- THRILLED by?

This information was also noted on the labels that RECIPIENTS will see.
Resistance isn't futile.  It's voltage divided by current.

That is wonderful.  That's also a great volunteer project you two do together.
